The Amish Nanny's Secret: An Uplifting Inspirational Romance by Amy Lillard

The Amish Nanny's Secret: An Uplifting Inspirational Romance
ABOUT THE BOOK

Will a temporary arrangement
turn into the love she needs?

Naomi Ebersol has always felt like the black sheep of her Amish community, and even more so now that she’s been accepted into art school. It’ll be difficult leaving Miller Creek behind, but she longs to follow her heart. To pay for her tuition, she agrees to be a nanny for widower Josias Schrock, who needs help caring for his five energetic little boys. Only now, everyone in their community thinks they’re engaged! Being around his family starts to feel all too real. But how can Naomi choose between the dream she’s always wanted…and the promise of love?

MY THOUGHTS.....

I enjoyed catching up with the Ebersol family in this return visit to Miller's Creek, and I loved learning about Naomi Ebersol's secret wish to attend art school. Taking a job as a nanny to the five Schrock boys would help with the finances, but it also meant being in close contact with their widowed father Josias. It didn't take long to see the special chemistry between them and suddenly, both of their lives were in complete disarray! Josias never wanted to marry again, Naomi yearned for a future away from Miller's Creek, and God seemed to have His own plans. Was a temporary solution becoming something more?

The Amish Nanny's Secret has all the feels: sweet romance that made my heart happy, five adorable little boys who made me laugh out loud, and a reminder that our plans are not always God's plans! Author Amy Lillard shares a heartwarming story for all who enjoy Amish fiction.

I received a complimentary digital copy from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Girl Lost (The King Legacy #1) by Kate Angelo

Girl Lost (The King Legacy #1)
ABOUT THE BOOK

Luna Rosati found acceptance and a family during childhood, but when she became pregnant at seventeen, she gave the baby up for adoption and left without a word. Now a CIA counterintelligence officer, Luna wants to reconcile her fractured sense of self by finding the only blood family she has left--the teenage daughter she's never met. Her mentor, Stryker, promises to reveal her daughter's identity, but first Luna must meet him in the old neighborhood, the last place she wants to be. Then Stryker is captured.

Special Agent Corbin King changed his surname to escape the shadow of his convicted father serving a life sentence. When he runs into Luna, the object of his failed teenage romance, the two must put their pasts aside and work together toward a greater mission. But when they encounter a kidnapping, missing bodies, and murder, the secrets Corbin and Luna are keeping from one another are only the beginning of the threat they face with more than their own lives at stake.

MY THOUGHTS.....

Calling all fans of romantic Christian suspense. Kate Angelo has a compelling story that you don't want to miss!

Luna Rosati's determination to find the daughter she gave up turns to devastation when her only link suddenly disappears and she's forced to accept help from the one person she wants to avoid! Realistic characters and a riveting plot kept me turning the pages, but my favorite part was the faith message in both Luna and Corbin's stories. Their moral compasses may have altered, but second chances were possible! Angelo's source of inspiration? Luke 15:3-7 reminds us that our Heavenly Father is always seeking His lost children.

Kidnapping, evil, and betrayal---Girl Lost is a roller-coaster ride with surprising twists, heart-tugging emotions, and intense danger. It starts with a bang, and the explosive drama continues until the final page! I look forward to more exciting suspense from Kate Angelo and the next thrilling story in The King Legacy series.

I received a complimentary copy from the author, publisher, and NetGalley. There was no obligation for a positive review.

MY THOUGHTS.....

My granddaughter is almost twelve years old, and I find myself experiencing many of the emotions that I felt when I was raising my daughter. Each generation of teenage girls faces different challenges! My teenage years were certainly different from my daughter's, and now, there are even greater hurdles for young girls growing up in 2025. Is there a question why my concerns seem even more troubling now?

Author Kari Kampakis packs a wallop in the 205 pages of IS YOUR DAUGHTER READY? Be sure to grab a highlighter for the abundance of enlightening statements and thought-provoking comments that need to be notated. I also loved that each of the ten chapters concludes with the same special sections: Truths Worth Packing, Questions to Unpack, and A Prayer to Lighten Your Load. There is also a special Appendix with 25 Talking Points for Hard Conversations. Talk about inspiration!

There are ten chapters, but one was especially relevant to me.
Chapter 7 focuses on Connection---Grow Your Connection as You Lose Control

"Our daughters don't care what we know until they know that we care."

If you are a mother, grandmother, aunt, or merely a loving friend, grab a copy of IS YOUR DAUGHTER READY?" Kampakis offers encouragement as you strive to mold a young woman who is equipped to navigate her future. I am so grateful for the chance to review this book!
