Pinkerton Jasper Caffery had long abandoned hope of ever finding Tacy again, but while on holiday in New Mexico, Jasper collides with the woman who had never noticed him before. MY THOUGHTS.....

Do you enjoy being swept away to another time and place? This new book by Grace Hitchcock is just what you're looking for! It's a collection of three novellas that take place in Charleston, Baton Rouge, and Las Vegas in the late 1880s and each novella features sweet heroines and dashing heroes who long to be together. Will they succeed in overcoming the jealous ex-suitors, snobbish relatives, differing social statuses, and numerous deceptions that threaten to keep them apart?

It's obvious that Hitchcock has devoted a lot of time to researching the settings and time periods and her combination of facts and fiction makes this a book to enjoy and savor! I loved the well-developed characters, the mystery and intrigue, and the sweet romance. I recommend Hearts of Gold to all who enjoy historical Christian romance.

I received a complimentary ARC but there was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Amish Nanny's Promise: An Uplifting Inspirational Romance by Amy Grochowski

The Amish Nanny's Promise: An Uplifting Inspirational Romance (Love Inspired)
ABOUT THE BOOK

She’ll do what it takes

To keep his family together…

When her dearest cousin passed, Fern Beiler made her a promise—to look after her two young children and keep her memory alive. The obvious solution is a marriage of convenience to their father, widower Nick Weaver. But when spending time together causes lines to blur, can two childhood friends overcome feelings of guilt for a chance at happiness…together?

From Love Uplifting stories of faith, forgiveness and hope.

MY THOUGHTS.....

Before she died, Charity Weaver asked her husband Nick and her cousin Fern to never let her young children forget her, and that's what they've tried to do. But what if these efforts lead to circumstances that appear unacceptable in their Amish community? How are they supposed to honor Charity's last wishes and still remain in Promise, Virginia?

The Amish Nanny's Promise is an emotionally charged attention keeper! I hoped that Fern Beiler would finally have her own family and I hated that her self-worth was affected by the physical scar that she desperately tried to conceal. Nick Weaver's desire to honor Charity and still protect Fern's reputation made me respect him even more. Author Amy Grochowski shares a poignant story of grief, longing, and pure unselfishness that's buffered with hope, faith, and second chances. I recommend The Amish Nanny's Promise to all who enjoy Amish fiction and clean romance.

I received a copy of this book from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
