MY THOUGHTS.....

A fairy and the search for a leprechaun lead a young boy on a journey of discovery. Author Richard Lopez uses easy-to-read text in this magical adventure that takes a young boy named Rich to Spring Garden, Misty Mountain, and Wandering Wood. Along the way, he encounters an ogre, unfriendly people, and a special fairy, but he also finds something very important. Rich learns that he must never let other people tell him that he doesn't belong because believing is the key! If he believes that he's found the right place, then that is exactly where he needs to be!

Looking for a Leprechaun is an entertaining story, but it can also be used as a teaching tool. Reading it together offers the perfect opportunity to ask, "Have you ever felt like you don't belong?" and to point out that we must never let negative people rule our lives. This book is a wonderful story of affirmation for young people!
