Reading this book was bittersweet! It's a fantastic story but it's also the end of the Cowboy Protectors series! Author Virginia Vaughan introduced the Harmon family and the Harmon Ranch to readers in early 2023 and now, three books later, the series is coming to a close. What a finale it is! Ally Fulton has returned to Jessup, Texas to find answers about her mother's death that occurred twenty years ago but it doesn't take long for her to become a target herself. She may not remember what happened but someone else does and they need to stop her!
I couldn't stop reading this novel that's filled with twists, turns, constant danger, and surprising revelations. Tucker Harmon soon realizes that Ally's quest has turned deadly but can he keep her safe long enough to solve this 20-year-old cold case? Worse still, is there someone at his late grandfather's ranch who's kept this knowledge hidden all of these years?
