She fell from grace…

Before falling for him

When her husband defrauded the town of Hollydale, now-divorced mom Lucie Decker went from being the town darling to total pariah. Now she’s launching a new business and needs ranger Caleb Spindler’s help. And her twins adore Caleb. After all, he’s a genuine hero—even if he is hiding a secret. But while Lucie’s heart has forgotten how to trust, it still remembers how to fall in love…

Is it possible for a returning hometown hero and a town pariah to find a happily-ever-after? This is the question in this story of two people: a single mother who is working to redeem her reputation so that she can continue to live with her children in her hometown and a man coming home with his own burdens. Lucie Decker and Caleb Spindler both have issues from their past that continue to plague them but Caleb is certainly willing to help Lucie, if she will let him. Much of this story deals with Lucie's struggles to change how she and her twins are treated by the people of Hollydale and part of it shows her inability to trust. It is her renewed friendship with Caleb that promises to buffer some of her anxiety, if she will only allow that friendship to continue.

"Instead of running toward something positive, she was running away from him because she was afraid to live, afraid to feel, afraid to give her heart to someone else.”

A Ranger for the Twins is a story of friends and family and Lucie's family includes Mattie, Ethan, and their collection of pets. Who wouldn't enjoy the antics of seven-year-old twins with pets that include a pair of miniature pigs named Fred and Ethel, and a bulldog named Ladybug? Who can resist a budding relationship between two former friends who are both searching for peace and forgiveness?

This book is part of the Harlequin Heartwarming line and it truly fits this description! You will laugh and you may cry, but I feel sure that you'll enjoy A Ranger for the Twins by Tanya Agler. If you're looking for a clean and sweet romance that tugs at your heart, you will want to take this trip to Hollydale and the Great Smoky Mountains!

Until I Met You (Restoring Heritage #2) by Tari Faris

ABOUT THE BOOK

Welcome back to Heritage, Michigan--the small town with a big heart

When she hears that the town of Heritage is looking for a new librarian, Libby Kingsley jumps at the opportunity. Little did she know the library is barely more than a basement room stuffed with dusty, outdated books. What the community really needs is a new building. But the only funds available are those being channeled into the new town square, and the landscape architect in charge of the project wants nothing to do with her plans.

All Austin Williams wants to do is get the town square project finished, and he hopes it is enough to save the family business. Then he can extricate himself from the town that reveres the brother who cost him so much. But the local media and the town's new librarian seem to be conspiring against him at every turn. Will the determined bookworm find her way into his blueprints--and possibly even his heart?

MY THOUGHTS.....

When I discover a debut author, I'm always anxious to see if the second book will be as good as the first and author Tari Faris certainly didn't disappoint me. Until I Met You has great characters, a charming small-town setting, realistic situations, and there is also...romance! When Libby Kingsley and Austin Williams meet, you just know that something interesting is in the works. Yes, their initial reactions are a little iffy but we all know that chemistry is the key and Libby and Austin certainly have plenty of powerful chemistry!

I absolutely love it when librarians get the spotlight and Libby's desire to visit all of the Carnegie Libraries is understandable and her efforts to get funding for a new library are spot-on! I also enjoyed the insights of living in a small town and the mention of characters from the Restoring Heritage series. It is, however, Faris's ability to completely capture human emotions that impressed me the most. Fear of failure, past hurts, and unresolved issues offer many conflicts but, in the end, we are allowed to witness the blessings that come from mercy and forgiveness.

If you enjoy contemporary romance with a faith element, you will definitely want to read Until I Met You. I am giving it 4.5 Stars!
