But not long after her arrival she’s confronted by two peculiar deaths—either accidental, or the deliberate acts of a psychopath.

MY THOUGHTS.....

I recently read Stolen Obsession, the first book in the Annalisse Series so I was thrilled to read another story by Marlene M. Bell. The fact that there are two books in between had no bearing on my enjoyment because the author does a wonderful job of explaining events that happened in those earlier books. Copper Waters: A New Zealand Cottage Mystery finds Annalisse Drury and Alec Zavos knee-deep in adventure, mysterious happenings, and unexplained deaths once again, but the setting is New Zealand and they aren't the happy couple that they once were. Has their romance hit a stumbling block that they can't overcome?

Copper Waters kept me fully engaged with its twists and turns, and I enjoyed seeing Annalisse and Alex in action again. I did find the ending to be a little unsettled so I can only wonder if there are more adventures ahead. Unsolved mysteries, settings in exotic locales, and exciting romantic tension are parts of Bell's captivating formula and they make me long for more escapades with this couple!

I received a copy of Copper Waters: A New Zealand Cottage Mystery from the author via iRead Book Tours. I was never required to write a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
