The Love Script (Love in the Spotlight, #1) by Toni Shiloh

The Love Script (Love in the Spotlight, #1)
ABOUT THE BOOK

Hollywood hair stylist Nevaeh Richards loves making those in the spotlight shine but prefers the anonymity of staying behind her stylist chair, where no one notices her. But when a photo of Nevaeh and Hollywood heartthrob Lamont Booker goes viral for all the wrong reasons, her quiet life becomes the number-one trending topic.

Lamont Booker's bold faith has gained him a platform, and the authenticity of his faith is well known . . . until the tabloids cause the world to question everything he claims to be. With his reputation on the line, he finds himself hearing out his agent's push for a fake relationship--something he never thought he'd consider in a million years.

With their careers at risk, Nevaeh and Lamont have to convince the world that their scripted romance is more than just an act. But when fake seems to turn into something real, can Nevaeh trust her heart in a world where nothing is ever as it seems?

Toni Shiloh dazzles in this irresistible red-carpet romance with spotlight-stealing laughter, faith, and a happily ever after.

MY THOUGHTS.....

Dating a Hollywood heartthrob would be a dream, right? Not if it's all pretend and you're a gal who's trying to live an honest and ethical life! Stylist Nevaeh Richards is asked to help actor Lamont Booker maintain his Christian reputation by entering a fake relationship but neither of them counts on the mutual attraction that soon evolves. Nevaeh has an abundance of grace and compassion, but her self-esteem needs a boost. Who would believe that Lamont would be interested in her? He is the ultimate Hollywood dream: handsome, successful, and actually a Christian! Can Nevaeh and Lamont convince the public that they are really a couple?

The Love Script has an amazing cast of characters and a plot that touched my heart and stirred my emotions. I laughed, I sighed, and I cheered for two people who want to remain true to their Christian beliefs while exploring the physical attraction that they're both experiencing. I loved the special relationship between Neveah and Mrs. Rosie, a client who is also Lamont's mother; and the text messages between Lamont and his friends are the perfect addition. This book has been labeled a RomCom and it's truly a delight for fans of Christian romance. It's witty, it's romantic, and it reminds us that standing up for our beliefs may be hard and it may be unpopular but it's definitely worth it!

I received a complimentary copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
