Christmas is around the corner…
And love might be right next door.
Hope Crossing, Texas, is just what Jillian McKenna needs. Here, she can recover after a terrible attack…and create a home for her baby-to-be. But she also has a complication next door. She once saw a future with veterinarian Gabriel Vaughn—a future that feels impossible now. But with love, faith, a support dog and some Christmas spirit, maybe it’s not too late after all.
MY THOUGHTS.....
I challenge anyone who reads this story to remain dry-eyed and emotionally unaffected! Author Mindy Obenhaus tackles the sensitive subject of a pregnancy resulting from a physical attack and the victim's determination to keep her baby. I admired Jillian's absolute conviction that moving to Hope Crossing would be the best solution for her and her unborn child, and I could totally understand Gabriel's initial confusion and hurt when he realized that Jillian was pregnant. Had his hopes for their future been totally one-sided?
Obenhaus handles this controversial topic with delicacy and sensitivity and the end results are both heartwarming and realistic. She's able to convey the trust and faith that would be necessary in a similar situation and her depiction of Jillian and Gabriel's viewpoints are spot-on! Readers also get to witness the support of the two amazing grandmothers who live in the Texas town that we've come to love.
I couldn't ask for a more perfect story to read and savor during this special time that celebrates the most unconventional birth of all! I highly recommend Her Christmas Healing to all who enjoy Christian romantic fiction that's infused with faith, hope, healing, and forgiveness!
I received a complimentary copy from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review, and I am voluntarily sharing my thoughts.
