Do You Know Who God Says You Are?
God has a purpose for your life in this moment. You have a part to play in what He is doing in the world. But knowing why you are here starts with knowing who God says you are:
You are an image bearer. A worshiper. A ruler and cultivator. In Christ, you are known. Loved. Forgiven. Redeemed. Reconciled. Complete. A member of God’s family. An ambassador sent into the world to make Christ known to all people.
God says that you matter.
The Life in Christ Bible invites you to discover the person God says you are—and live as the person Christ makes you to be—as you:
- Explore identity-focused themes through articles and charts.
- Find encouragement in insights from historical voices.
- Discover what it means to be an image-bearer of God, to find your identity in Christ, and how to live out your true identity.
Discover why you matter—not because of anything you do, but because you are made in the image of God.
Explore how the gospel of Jesus Christ makes you a new person.
Learn how who God says you are changes how you think, speak, work, and move through the world.
You are more valuable than you realize and more loved than you know. You have a greater purpose than you can imagine. God wants you to believe it—and rejoice!

There are so many reasons to love this new Bible from Thomas Nelson! The "Life in Christ Bible" is a New King James Version, so it is written for modern English readers while remaining true to the original King James Bible. A single-column paragraph format is used so there is ample space for journaling or jotting down notes, and there are translator notes and cross-referenced verses at the bottom of the pages. I especially appreciate that the words of Christ are printed in red because I've recently seen some new Bibles that don't offer this feature. My only negative comment is that some people might prefer a larger font.
The Bible that I received has a soft brown leatherette cover and two colorful ribbons bookmarks so it would be an attractive gift, but I plan to keep this treasure for myself! It's a wonderful study Bible that's filled with charts, maps, study aids, reading plans to supplement my devotion time, and many pages of additional commentary. I highly recommend this "Life in Christ Bible" as a valuable resource for people just beginning their Christian walk and a fantastic choice for more seasoned believers!
Many thanks to HarperCollins Christian Publishing for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own and are not influenced by monetary compensation.
It sounds great. I like that it has identity focused themes as too often we don't know who we are in Christ. I may just keep it for myself as the layout is intriguing and my NKJV is falling apart.
