I loved this sixth book in The Heart of the Amish series! Author Lisa Jones Baker shares an engaging story of a young woman's powerful secret that threatens her future. Serenity Miller enjoys a special friendship with Stephen Lantz but there's a secret that may prevent her from enjoying happiness. Will she ever experience love and marriage?
There is so much to enjoy in this story! It has an Amish setting, there's an inspirational theme woven into its plot, and there are several mysteries that need to be solved. There are some returning characters from Baker's previous book, The Quilt Room, but the main focus is on Serenity and Stephen. Seeing their friendship blossom into something deeper provides pleasure but there's also the pain of uncertainty. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to learn Serenity's secret and its impact on their future!
If you enjoy Amish fiction and/or cozy mysteries laced with love, hope, and faith, grab a copy of Serenity's Secret! I promise that you may be surprised but you won't be disappointed!
