Hope Richardson is good at just that—hoping. Problem is, she’s often disappointed—by fathers who die, boyfriends who ghost her, and promotion at her event planning firm. It’s her twin sister, Faith, for whom things work out. When Faith’s fiancé lands an out-of-town job, Hope is called home to plan a wedding in the Georgia foothills … and jumpstart the tea room Faith was supposed to run with their mother.
Of all the people to make the first reservation for his family farm’s new event barn, Tucker Bradshaw least expects Hope Richardson. She might’ve rebound-dated him their senior year of high school, but she was all too eager to run back to the star football player in college. Always wanting something bigger and better than their hometown of Clarkesville. Than him.
Her sister’s wedding plans land Hope in the midst of the opening season for Tucker’s corn maze. When a harvest romance reignites, Hope searches for the faith to finally live up to her name.

MY THOUGHTS.....
Hope Richardson absolutely adored her father, and she still feels a tremendous void from his death. She also feels like a third wheel when she's with her mother and her twin sister Faith, so she is very reluctant to return to her hometown. And then, there's the added complication of running into the person who broke her heart in high school. Is it any wonder that Hope never wants to live in Clarkesville, Georgia ever again?
'Why was she here? They had things well in hand without her. She was just the burr in the saddle.'
A Harvest Heart is a poignant story of loss, loneliness, and misunderstandings, but author Denise Weimer buffers it with hope, forgiveness, and sweet romance. I was touched by Hope's feelings of being alone, and I was totally rooting for a reunion between her and Tucker Bradshaw. Would they be able to regain the trust that they'd both lost many years ago?
I love the Autumn season and I especially loved Weimer's description of Faith's wedding reception, with pumpkins, mums, autumn leaves, golden ribbons, and candles in hurricane globes. A beautiful setting, appealing characters, and the promise of second chances make this an enjoyable read. I recommend A Harvest Heart to all who are looking for an engaging, clean romance!
I received a copy of this book from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
