I'll Be Home by Darlene L. Turner, Helena Smrcek, Melanie Stevenson & Sara Davison

I'll Be Home
ABOUT THE BOOK

With chaos and confusion all around them, can they find their way home this Christmas?

The people in these four stories are all searching for something—an escaped convict, a job promotion from a love interest, connection to a lost parent, answers across time.

Christmas should be a time of wonder and celebration, but the obstacles each faces seem insurmountable. Even, at times, life-threatening.

Perhaps they will find what they are seeking during this season of miracles and hope. Or maybe, with God’s help, they will discover that the longing of their hearts takes them to places—and people—they didn’t even know they’d been searching for.

I’ll Be Home is a collection of four stories of faith, hope, love, (and trains) that will warm your heart, encourage your soul, and draw you home this Christmas.

MY THOUGHTS.....

This novella collection is the perfect read to usher in the Christmas season. There's a story for every taste, each one is short enough to read in one sitting, and they all evoke the warm feelings associated with Christmas.

I'm a long-time fan of Darlene L. Turner's romantic suspense novels but her contribution, "Mistletoe and Mayhem in the Rockies", is a cozy mystery...and I loved it!

Helena Smrcek shares a dual-time story that spans WWII and the present. I loved the historical details and she couldn't have given readers a better ending than her ending for "Love Across Time"!

How many have worked hard to succeed and then realized there's so much more we should be seeking? In her novella, "Where My Heart Belongs", Melanie Stevenson shows us the joy in finding love and faith!

Fans of Anne of Green Gables will love "Just a Gilbert Blythe Kind of Girl"! Lucy is obsessed with finding her own Gilbert Blythe but Sara Davison reminds us that we might overlook something precious while trying to capture a dream! This is a very special story!

I'll Be Home is a delightful anthology rich in faith, romance, and the promise of Christmas. It's the perfect title to add to your holiday reading list!

I received a complimentary ARC from one of the authors. There was no obligation for a positive review.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Helena Smrcek's grandparents gifted her with the wonder of storytelling. She grew up surrounded by their unconditional love, endless patience, and captivating tales. The most cherished moments came at twilight. Her Grandpa would settle into his wing chair, a cat purring on his lap, while Helena and her grandmother snuggled on the sofa, ready for storytime.
