Through the Valley (The Amish of Shepherd's Hill, #3) by Patricia Johns

Through the Valley (The Amish of Shepherd's Hill)
ABOUT THE BOOK

Miri Schrock never expected to inherit anything after months of caring for Old Tom Yoder, so upon his passing, she's stunned to learn he's left her everything. But Tom's family is equally shocked, and Miri is not sure she can rightfully accept an inheritance that clearly belongs to Tom's grandsons.

Moses Yoder thought he knew his grandfather, but his decision to leave the family farm to Miri has Moses questioning everything. Now he's caught between his family's demands that Miri surrender what's rightfully theirs and his own growing romantic attraction toward her. As Moses and Miri are drawn together, they must navigate family tensions, but discovering the truth behind the inheritance may change everything they thought they knew about love, family, and God's plan for their future.

Family, tradition, and romance come together in this heart-tugging Amish romance from Publishers Weekly bestselling author Patricia Johns.

MY THOUGHTS.....

How can I best describe this book? Heartwarming? Inspiring? Yes to both, but most of all, Through the Valley is captivating! I absolutely loved the return to Shepherd's Hill, a reunion with the Schrock sisters, and the realistic emotions in this series' conclusion.

Veterinarian Tabitha Schrock may lose her chance for love and happiness if a matchmaker succeeds in finding her best friend a perfect match. Has Tabitha waited too long to tell Jonas Peachy that she has romantic feelings for him?

Miri Schrock has her own dilemma! An unexpected inheritance gives her a chance to do what she loves most, but is owning Tom Yoder's farm worth being alienated from her Amish community? I was especially impressed by Tom's grandson, Moses. His dismay over losing the family farm is slowly changed by his growing admiration for this young woman. Perhaps Miri deserves to have this farm!

I've enjoyed all three books in the Amish of Shepherd's Hill series, but I can't say enough good things about Through the Valley! Satisfying romance, Amish values, and a powerful reminder to trust in God's Plan made this a must-read for me. Well done, Patricia Johns!

I received a copy from the author and Bethany House. There was no obligation for a positive review.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
