ABOUT THE BOOK
It’s Christmastime in the garden, and Ladybug is excited to celebrate with her loved ones! When Ladybug invites her friends and family to a Christmas feast, she prepares to make sure everything runs smoothly. Despite Ladybug’s best efforts, the feast doesn’t go as planned. With the help of her friends, Ladybug learns that the sweetest part of the season is togetherness!
MY THOUGHTS.....
Ladybug may be just an insect but she's like many humans. She wants to have a the perfect Christmas feast for her friends and she believes that this means preparing a delicious meal and serving it in a beautifully decorated house. Ladybug becomes "busy as a bee" but she doesn't count on food that burns and an evening that is nothing like she wanted! Oh, what should Ladybug do? Will her friends be disappointed in her?
"With the feast finally ready, they gathered by the tree. Enjoying the food and, most of all, each other's company."
The colorful illustrations and the simple, rhyming text make this an entertaining and fun book for children but Ladybug's Christmas has a special lesson just for adults. Wanting everything perfect can rob us of the best memories of all...those of being together and truly enjoying each other's company! Anabella Schofield and Sofia Schofield have written a delightful Christmas book that the whole family will enjoy!
I voluntarily accepted a complimentary copy of this book. A favorable review wasn't required and no monetary compensation was given. These are my own thoughts.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
