MY THOUGHTS.....

Do you enjoy stories that tug at your heartstrings and warm your heart? You'll definitely want to read A Foster Mother's Promise! It's another delightful book that's set in Kendrick Creek, Tennessee, and the plot involves the foster care system. It is a wonderful tribute to the people who provide loving, stable environments for children who've been denied them in their own families. The four children in this story are precious, and author Ruth Logan Herne presents a realistic picture of the doubts, fears, and scars that they carry. Foster mother Carly Bradley's dedication is inspiring, but how can a single, hardworking teacher manage four children by herself? I couldn't help hoping that her new neighbor might be the person to support her in her mission to keep these four siblings together. Can Deputy Mike Morris overcome his personal grief, so that he can help Carly hold it together?

Herne offers readers a lovely, engaging contemporary romance, and I absolutely loved this book. It pulled me in, kept me totally involved, and then left me happy and content!

I received a copy of this book from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Multi-published, award-winning, bestselling author Ruth Logan Herne is living her dream of being a published author and having the time of her life doing it. Born to a poor family in Rochester, NY, Ruthy draws on her early years and her many years of dealing with today's young families and businesses to create beautiful, heartfelt small-town stories of faith, hope and love... while adopting her favorite non-Scripture quotes "Plenty of time for rest in the grave" (Ben Franklin) and "No one can make you feel inferior without your permission." (Eleanor Roosevelt) and one can always depend on Yoda "There is no try. There is do or do not." Succinct... and true. :) She loves chatting with readers on facebook at Ruth Logan Herne or follow Ruthy on Twitter, visit her website or stop by Seekerville (www.seekerville.blogspot.com) or pop by the Yankee Belle Cafe where Ruthy and several lovely authors share recipes, facts, photos and just plain old life! www.yankeebellecafe.blogspot.com
