The Bride Ships are back! Author Jody Hedlund has created a set of memorable characters, placed them on a bride ship to Vancouver, and given them an adventure filled with love, longing, and take-your-breath-away romance. As I read this book, I was in awe of the deep friendship shared by Willow Rhodes and Caleb Edwards and equally amazed that Willow didn't know how very much Caleb loved her as a woman! What would it take for her to realize the depth of his devotion?
I fell in love with the original Bride Ships series several years ago, so I was thrilled about this new journey. Hedlund shows the hardships and the mixed emotions of the women traveling from England to a new life in Vancouver. Beautiful scenery, two conflicted souls, and the chance for a new beginning are included but the main ingredient of this story is romance. The sweet but oh-so-tantalizing chemistry between Willow and Caleb that's evolved from their longtime friendship!
