Many authors write exciting suspense stories that keep us turning the pages but those who can lure readers into an adventure, stir their imaginations, and capture their hearts...they have a rare talent indeed. This book by Rhonda Starnes proves that she's one of those authors! The questions begin in the opening pages when an intruder invades Adeline Scott's sleep. Who is after Adeline and her two nephews, why are they targets, and how can she keep them all safe?
Uncovering Colorado Secrets is a suspense story that's filled with action, danger, and overwhelming hurdles, but my attention was captivated by the human element. I loved Addie's progression from a caring aunt to an enraged Mama bear determined to protect her nephews and my heart ached for two young boys dealing with fear and grief! My love for romance was thrilled by the romantic tension that developed when Addie's boss stepped in to help them, but I was dismayed that a lasting relationship seemed unlikely. Didn't the four of them deserve the chance to become a family?

Rhonda Starnes is a middle school language arts teacher who has dreamed of being a published author since she was in seventh grade. She lives in North Alabama with her husband, who she lovingly refers to as Mountain Man. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
