This book was a great way to end my 2025 reading year! Author Connie Queen's thrilling story begins with a double murder that quickly escalates into a cat-and-mouse game with the young woman who witnessed these murders. Will Holly escape the killers before they harm her and her unborn baby?
I loved the plot, the engaging characters, and the inspiring faith message. Shielded by the Cowboy had non-ending danger, intense emotions, and questions that kept me turning the pages. What secrets were hidden in this small community? Would Holly and Clive's dangerous predicament create a bond of friendship and trust that couldn't be severed?
Shielded by the Cowboy is the first book in the Thunder Ridge Justice series. I recommend it to all who enjoy romantic Christian suspense.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Connie Queen spent her life in Texas where she met and married her high-school sweetheart. Together they’ve raised eight children and are enjoying their grandchildren. As a child, Connie remembers her mom and sisters reading, but she preferred to be outside. It wasn't until later, she found the joy of being whisked away into another world. Today she resides in Nebraska with her husband, and Nash, her Great Dane, where she’s working on her next suspense.
