ABOUT THE BOOK
Praying girls are world-changers! And this deeply inspiring storybook proves it!
Just for the girls in your life, ages 8 and up, this collection of 100 extraordinary stories of praying women of faith--from the Bible, history, and today--will empower girls to know and understand how praying women have made a difference in the world and how much smaller our faith (and the biblical record) would be without them. Featuring full-page, colorful illustrations alongside the true stories of praying women like Anna, Esther, Hannah, Anne Bradstreet, Shirley Dobson, Lottie Moon, Ida Scudder, Corrie ten Boom, Phillis Wheatley, and dozens more, the stories of these 100 women will encourage and inspire girls to become the praying world-changers God created them to be!
MY THOUGHTS.....
Once again author Jean Fischer has chosen 100 women that she considers extraordinary and this time she focuses on how they all have depended on prayer to help them in their life journeys. Some of the women are from the Bible, others are historical figures, and the rest are well-known names in today's culture but they all share one thing in common: their belief in God and the power of prayer.
Each person that Fischer has chosen has been given two pages: one devoted to her story with an appropriate Bible scripture at the bottom and the other with a colorful illustration. This is a perfect format for the target ages of 8-12 year old girls and the beautiful hard-cover and ribbon bookmark also add to its appeal.
100 Extraordinary Stories of Prayer for Courageous Girls would be a great gift for all of the young girls in your life and I myself plan to use it as an added resource for my Sunday School class!
