The excitement begins immediately in Secrets Resurfaced and it seldom lets up during the rest of this new book by Dana Mentink. Dory Winslow is a private investigator who has returned to Driftwater to uncover the truth about a crime that occurred five years ago and she carries with her a huge secret that she doesn't want revealed. Her five-year-old daughter is the granddaughter of the man now serving a prison sentence for that crime but he and his son haven't a clue that Ivy exists! What Chad Jaggert does know is that Dory is back, she is trying to prove his dad's innocence, and she is in danger for doing so. The story that follows is filled with questions, danger, and several twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end the identity of the true murderer. There is also a growing awareness between Dory and Chad that the love they once shared may still exist. Will Chad be able to keep her safe? Can he forgive her for keeping his little girl a secret? Are all of the lies finally revealed?

If you enjoy thrilling suspense and second-chance love stories, you will definitely like Secrets Resurfaced. It is the fourth book in the Roughwater Ranch Cowboys series and I believe that Mentink has saved the best for last!
