The Robin's Greeting (Amish Greenhouse Mystery, #3) by Wanda E. Brunstetter

The Robin's Greeting (Amish Greenhouse Mystery #3)ABOUT THE BOOK

For the past two years Belinda King, along with her two grown daughters and teenage son, has been struggling to keep the family greenhouse running. Despite disconcerting events that have threatened to put them out of business, they have survived two growing seasons. And now Belinda can focus on the two suitors vying for her attention. Herschel Fisher, a new acquaintance, makes her feel relaxed, and Monroe Esh, an admirer from her past, reminds her of her youth.

But just when Belinda thinks she can choose between her suitors, life throws more trials her way. Her son, Henry, becomes bitter about the idea of her dating anyone. Her daughter-in-law finds her missing mother. Belinda gets sick. And attacks on the greenhouse start again.

When can Belinda hope to experience the peace and love her weary heart longs for?

MY THOUGHTS.....

I love mysteries, so I was thrilled to learn that author Wanda E. Brunstetter was writing an Amish mystery series. Let me tell you, I haven't been disappointed! The three books in the the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series have centered around the King family, and we've watched them endure overwhelming tragedy, numbing grief, and repeated threats to their livelihood. Now, two years after the tragic accident that claimed three members of their family, it appears that a brighter future is ahead. Finally, after being the glue that has held all of them together, the matriarch, Belinda King, is being courted by two men. Can her teenage son accept another man in their lives? Will Belinda be able to love again, after losing the love of her life?

Brunstetter fully understands the Amish way of life, and her introduction of mystery and suspense adds a pleasing element to her writing. The Robin's Greeting reveals the identity of the person responsible for vandalizing the King's greenhouse over the past two years, and I was totally surprised! I was also amazed to learn that there was a connection between the King family and the English neighbor who had always been so antagonistic toward them.

The Robin's Greeting is the perfect way to wrap up the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series, and I recommend it to all who enjoy reading about family, faith, and the Amish way of life.

I received a copy of this book from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts and opinions.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
