Taken in the Night (Mount Shasta Secrets #3) by Elizabeth Goddard

Taken in the Night (Mount Shasta Secrets #3)

ABOUT THE BOOK

Her child is in danger.

Protecting her is all that matters.

Widow Danielle Collins runs into her ex, Reece Bradley, just in time--right after she and her daughter are abducted from their campsite. Only the former navy SEAL can save them from a mystery enemy who shot her brother. Now as they run for their lives, Danielle must figure out why they're being hunted...and how to tell Reece the little girl he's protecting is his daughter.

MY THOUGHTS.....

The cover of Taken in the Night is a perfect depiction of the opening scenes of this thrilling book, and the danger and suspense intensify as the story continues. Who is trying to harm Danielle Collins and her six-year-old daughter Lucy, and what is the motive? Is it Danielle they want, or could it be Lucy herself?

"God, please help me. I want to have faith like a child, faith like Lucy. If I don't win this battle, their lives are at stake. They're still in trouble."

Reese Bradley is a special agent for the National Park Service and he has a special interest in this case. He and Danielle once shared a past, and he is desperate to protect her and little Lucy.  Reese and Danielle are both believers, and they utter many prayers throughout the story,  but the person with the deepest faith of all is Lucy, and she could put most adults to shame Reese and Danielle are special, but I loved Lucy!

Author Elizabeth Goddard shares fascinating characters, a secret that needs to be revealed, and an inspiring faith message in Taken in the Night. There is also a second chance at love that adds even more reading enjoyment for people who enjoy Christian romantic suspense!

I received a copy of this book from the author. I was never expected to leave a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
