Amish Country Threats (Amish Country Justice #10) by Dana R. Lynn

Amish Country Threats (Amish Country Justice #10)ABOUT THE BOOK

Her brother was murdered.

Will she be next?

While searching for proof that her brother's death was no accident, Lilah Schwartz is almost killed by a sniper in her Amish community. Hiding in Levi Burkholder's barn is all that keeps her alive. The former soldier will do everything in his power to protect Lilah, but can he and Lilah uncover the evidence her brother hid before she's the next to die?

MY THOUGHTS.....

Why, oh why, did it take me so long to discover this author? This is the second book that I've read by Dana R. Lynn and I'm completely sold on her writing abilities! Amish Country Threats is an exciting story that will appeal to fans of both Christian suspense and Amish fiction, with its intriguing characters who often struggle with right choices when they are placed in unthinkable situations. I especially liked Levi Burkholder, who is back with his Amish community after serving as a soldier and living as an Englisher. After finding a terrified Lilah Schwartz hiding in his barn, he immediately goes into hero and rescue mode, as he tries to prevent her from becoming the next victim of whoever caused her brother's death. I loved his strength, his kindness, and his willingness to help even when he himself becomes a target. Lilah is alone, grieving, and scared, with no hopes for her future. She's lost her entire family and someone is after her. Will she ever feel safe again?

Lynn has created an exciting story filled with danger, adventure, and suspense, and I was totally wrapped up in the different emotions. I could fully sense Levi and Lilah's desperate attempts to stay alive and I also felt their reluctant acceptance that friendship might not be enough! I enjoyed this book that is part of the Amish Country Justice series and I recommend Amish Country Threats to all who enjoy Christian romantic suspense.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
