This fast-paced story begins with an opening scene in a library that left me thankful that it had never happened to me during my years as a librarian! From that moment, until the end, I felt like I was on a thrilling roller coaster ride as I tried to figure out who was trying to harm Skye Anderson. What did she have that was worth killing for? Was it possible that her late husband's death wasn't an accident after all?
Secrets Left Behind is romantic suspense at its best, and Detective Jake Reed is the ideal hero. It's true that he broke Skye's heart many years ago but he's back, determined to protect her and also honor his late friend's memory. I was totally invested in this story, and I can't wait to read more of this author's books. Well done, Shannon Redmon!

Secrets Left Behind is romantic suspense at its best, and Detective Jake Reed is the ideal hero. It's true that he broke Skye's heart many years ago but he's back, determined to protect her and also honor his late friend's memory. I was totally invested in this story, and I can't wait to read more of this author's books. Well done, Shannon Redmon!

Shannon Redmon remembers the first grown-up book she checked out from the neighborhood bookmobile. A Victoria Holt novel, with romance, intrigue, and ballroom parties, encouraged her desire to create inspiring stories. Her first novel, Cave of Secrets, is being published by Love Inspired Suspense.
