Brody McQuaid is a broken man, and he knows it. While his body survived the war, his soul did not. To Tame a Cowboy is another example of author Jody Hedlund's amazing talent for creating characters that we'd like to know and giving them stories that we can't wait to read. Brody McQuaid bears deep scars from being imprisoned at Andersonville Prison during the Civil War, but he's still what a hero should be. Savannah Marshall's compassion for people and her deep love for animals makes her equally special. Throw in wild horses that need saving, Brody's special love for his adorable niece Flora, and then create some incredible romantic chemistry between Brody and Savannah. The results are pure magic!
If you're like me and grew up watching TV westerns, you have your idea of the perfect cowboy. I fell in love with these McQuaid brothers in the first book of the Colorado Cowboys series, and this book has only made my admiration stronger. If you enjoy historical romantic fiction with a strong element of faith, do yourself a favor and read To Tame a Cowboy!
