A Stolen Kiss (The Heart of the Amish, #7) by Mindy Steele

A Stolen Kiss (The Heart of the Amish, #7)
ABOUT THE BOOK

Who kissed who first?

Full of faith, hope, and romance, this new series takes you into the Heart of Amish country.

LeEtta Miller brazenly accepts a dare from her friends. What harm is there in kissing a handsome stranger she’ll never see again? Unfortunately, the incident was witnessed and when her father learns her good virtues are marred, he wills her to marry.

Benuel Ropp wanted a family, but not this way. He was trying to regain some of what he tarnished by coming to Cherry Grove, not to get married to a stranger. Well, if Laura thought he’d flinch and let her boldness add another stain to his name, she was mistaken. He had forgiveness to earn and a name to restore, and if he had to make sacrifices to do it, so did she.

Who kissed who first, he can’t even remember anymore.

MY THOUGHTS.....

Who kissed whom, and why should it matter? It shouldn't unless you're a young Amish woman who's kissed a stranger on the spur of the moment and you're now married to him!

A Stolen Kiss is a delightful story with endearing characters, a swoon-worthy romance, and laugh-out-loud moments as LeEtta Miller Ropp struggles to become a worthy Amish housewife. I remember my struggles as a new bride, but we tend to believe that these skills are ingrained in Amish women! LeEtta's failed efforts are hilarious and so is her widowed grandmother, who is searching for a special friend! LeEtta and Benuel Ropp may be the primary characters, but Mammi Iola is truly a scene-stealer!

Author Mindy Steele has become a leading author in Amish fiction and much of it is due to the respect that she has for her Amish friends and neighbors. She may allow her characters to falter and stumble, but she never fails to showcase their faith and resilience. I couldn't read fast enough to see if Ben could resolve his anger toward his family, and I couldn't wait to see if LeEtta would soften his heart! You don't want to miss A Stolen Kiss!!

I was given a complimentary copy from the author and publisher. These are my thoughts.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

  1. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I too think Mammi was a bit of a scene-stealer.
