MY THOUGHTS.....

This is a warning....do not start this book if you don't have time for reading because you won't be able to put it down! Amnesia, illegal drugs, a missing brother who may be involved in smuggling drugs into our country, and a drug enforcement agent who finds himself very attracted to a suspect. The questions never seem to end and the intense action never lets up.

From the beginning paragraphs, as she describes an explosion and tunnel cave-in, author Tanya Stowe vividly portrays Jocelyn Walker's fear and confusion at not being able to remember. 'So why had she been alone, out of uniform, in a tunnel full of thousands of dollars' worth of heroin?' As DEA Dylan Murphy investigates, he finds himself very attracted to this border patrol agent but he can't stop his questions about her possible involvement with the heroin.

Fatal Memories has intrigue and suspense but it also has romance and faith. Joss (Jocelyn) and Dylan both have guilt issues so how can they ever truly feel God's love? Can they accept that He offers mercy and forgiveness? Is there any chance that they can share more than just a work relationship?

I have been a fan of Love Inspired Suspense books for quite some time and now I am a fan of Tanya Stowe. She has created interesting characters, placed them in intriguing situations, and delivered a fast-paced story. I recommend Fatal Memories to readers who enjoy Christian romance and mystery/suspense novels.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit but I wasn't required to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

More from Tanya

It has long been my husband’s desire to travel the country in a motorhome. So when he retired three years ago, we sold our home and hit the road. We lived in the high desert region of Southern California for almost 37 years. I thought it was going to be a rough transition, but it wasn’t…especially since I came to love one of our new locations.

We spend the winter months in southern Arizona where Fatal Memories is set. I love everything about this unique place. We are surrounded by incredible ecosystems…the Sonoran and Chihuahua deserts collide there, so a different environment is around every corner. The beauty of the mountains, streams and lakes (yes, there’s water in southern Arizona—monsoons come up from Baja every summer) and the wildlife is amazing. I’ve been told black panthers have been known to cross the border from Mexico and roam the countryside. My husband and I bought a Jeep so we could go off-roading to see these sites up close and personal.

In addition to all these amazing natural wonders, history jumps out and grabs me. I’m just twenty minutes from Tombstone. Fort Huachuca and Fort Bowie are forty miles away in different directions. Every time I turn around, there’s a history making site or event to grab my interest. I hope you can see why I fell in love with my new home. I hope you will too when you read Fatal Memories.

By the way…if you interested, I write about our travels in my monthly newsletter. Be sure to check it out!
