MY THOUGHTS.....

How many times have you told your child, or perhaps your Sunday School class, about having a home in Heaven one day? This can be a hard concept for younger children to understand but author Donna Wyland has written an excellent explanation. Your Home in Heaven is dedicated to showing how special a Heavenly home will be, and how, by practicing the Fruits of the Spirit, we all can have such a home!

Filled with bright, colorful illustrations, and easy-to-understand text, Your Home in Heaven is an ideal way to teach about God, Jesus, and the Fruits of the Spirit. I do, however, believe that it may be more appropriate for school-age children, because of its length. Little ones will like the pictures but their attention span may be too short for them to sit quietly through an entire reading.

Nevertheless, it is a wonderful resource and I appreciate that there are questions at the end to encourage further discussion, along with an easily understood Plan of Salvation. Your Home in Heaven is perfect for families and it is also a wonderful addition to church libraries.

About the Author

Donna Wyland is an award-winning author, editor and coach whose personal essays and poetry have appeared in numerous publications. She is also an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation who specializes in coaching writers toward completion and publication of their own books.

As the author of two picture books, Your Home in Heaven (released October 2020) and If I Could Ask Jesus, and a gift book titled Surrender, Donna’s work encourages readers to draw near to God to experience His peace, love and hope.

Her first novel, Autumn’s Harmony, was also released in October 2020 and is a poignant and witty tale about the healing power of forgiveness, reconciliation, and new beginnings. It is the first in a series of three written for every woman who has ever desired to make sense of her past, find joy in the present, and discover God’s purpose for her future.
