About Me I am a retired librarian and I now support books and authors through my reviews.

I have always loved to read and I was able to share that love through my work as a public librarian for 22 1/2 years. I now promote literacy by reading, and then writing reviews. I love to support authors by sharing my reviews with others!

Good Morning, God (words by Melody Carlson; illustrations by Bethany Harris)

ABOUT THE BOOK

It's time to wake up and say hello to all your favorite things! Children and adults alike will enjoy this fun and fanciful glimpse into one little girl's morning as she greets each of the things that make up her world, from her teddy bear to her parents, and thanks the Lord for them all.
MY THOUGHTS.....

From the first words "Good morning Mr. Sunshine. How'd you sleep last night?" to the final words 'Now I sing "Good morning God! Thank you for everything!"', the little girl in this book acknowledges everything that is  a part of her world. Over and over she repeats the words "Good morning" as she names the objects that are so familiar to young children.

Good Morning, God has everything that a child loves: colorful illustrations, an easy to read story, repetition, and a rhyming text that could easily be adapted as a fun song for them to sing. Toddlers will love having this story read to them and older children will love reading it for themselves.

Author Melody Carlson knows how to captivate a young audience with her simple words and illustrator Bethany Harris uses realistic pictures to keep their attention.  I recommend Good Morning, God as a wonderful book to remind children of their blessings from God.

I received a complimentary digital copy of this book and I have chosen to share my honest thoughts in this review.
