About Me I am a retired librarian and I now support books and authors through my reviews.

I have always loved to read and I was able to share that love through my work as a public librarian for 22 1/2 years. I now promote literacy by reading, and then writing reviews. I love to support authors by sharing my reviews with others!

My Bedtime Bible Prayers by Karoline Pahus Pedersen

Some of the best Christmas gifts that I received as a child were books! If you are looking for a gift or a stocking stuffer for a special child in your life, please consider this suggestion!

ABOUT THE BOOK
My Bedtime Bible Prayers
My Bedtime Bible Prayers is creatively designed to encourage Bible reading and prayer as a natural part of any nighttime routine.

Inside are 44 prayers, each based on a Bible verse and Bible story, along with a takeaway question. The whimsical illustrations featured throughout depict both Bible scenes and contemporary life. With this caring guidance, children ages 6-8 will learn to share their hearts and thoughts with God--while also discovering how much He loves them!

MY THOUGHTS.....

My Bedtime Bible Prayers is the perfect book to help introduce children to the concept of prayer and the need for them to pray. It is filled with beautiful color illustrations, scripture references, prayers that cover 44 different subjects, and simple questions to help children think about what they have just learned. I especially like that the Bible verses are printed in a large font that will appeal to beginning readers.

I would have loved this book for my daughter when she was little but I can share it with my granddaughter who is almost six years old. We will be reading it together now but soon she will be able to read it herself!

Author Karoline Pahus Pederson and illustrator Gavin Scott have created a wonderful children's book and I recommend My Bedtime Bible Prayers for parents, grandparents, or Sunday School teachers. You won't be disappointed!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Kregel Publications but a positive review was not required. These are my honest thoughts.
