Oh, my! This is the second book in the Knights of Brethren series, and it's a wonderful sequel to Elinor and Maxim's story. There is adventure, danger, treachery in the King's court, and a knight that we would all love to know. Sir Ansgar is loyal, true, and determined to protect both King Ulrik and a young woman named Lis. Lis, who was raised as the daughter of a farmer but is actually Elinor's older sister, and the true heir to the throne! She is both beautiful and courageous, and a perfect match for Ansgar, but he doesn't consider himself worthy of a Princess.
Author Jody Hedlund teases us with heart-racing romance, but it isn't just physical attraction that makes this couple so drawn to each other. Lis and Ansgar's powerful chemistry is matched by a deep spiritual connection. Will they survive the danger so that their swoon-worthy romance can turn into a lasting love?
