MY THOUGHTS.....

Books have been my favorite gifts forever, so I'm always on the lookout for a special book to give to my seven-year-old granddaughter. This is one that I'm thrilled to find, because it shares such a special message for the Christmas season. The Christmas Blanket is the heartwarming tale of a little boy going with his mother to see the lighting of the huge Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, and perhaps experiencing the magic of having his wish come true. As he travels to Rockefeller Center, EJ wonders what the true meaning of Christmas is? Gifts? Toys? Presents? And then, EJ witnesses an older man sitting on a street corner. Suddenly, he knows exactly what he will wish for, and he finally understand the true meaning of Christmas. 

"Christmas is about caring for your fellow man. Without selfless love, Christmas would never have existed." 

Brightly colored illustrations and and easy to understand text add to its appeal, but the inspiring message is what children will remember. The Christmas Blanket is the perfect book to read with your children or grandchildren!

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Damiano has a passion for creativity, and his stories always contain a positive message. He also wrote The Christmas Blanket, which earned him a Mom’s Choice Award. In The Christmas Blanket, his character EJ realizes the true meaning of Christmas, which is not about getting presents, but about giving back to others.
